How to Speed Up your PC Without Using Any Software
For the old versions of PC or Laptops slow speed creates a lot trouble. There are many software available in the market for speed up your PC But installing of these software also slows down your PC. Did you know without using any external software you can speed up your Windows PC. Simply following these steps shown below:1. Disk Cleanup:
- Go to My Computer -->Right Click on C: Drive(in
which OS is installed) --> click on properties.
- Then in properties you can see the Disk Cleanup option, click on it and then select --> Temporary Internet Files, Recycle bin, Temporary Files, web/pub Temp. Files.(All of them Showing)--> click OK.
- You can clean up more space by clicking on 'Clean up system files' and with that cleaning up the most recent restore points.
- Disk clean up cleans tour unwanted Temporary files which can helps in speed up your PC.
2. Disk Defragmentation:
- Go to My Computer->Right Click on C: Drive(in which OS install)->click on properties->click on TOOLS.
- Then you see Disk De-fragmentation, click on defragment now.
- There are new box is open Now select C: drive and click on defragment.
- De-fragmentation is a process that reduces the amount of fragmentation and speed up performance of PC.
3. Uninstall Unnecessary Software:
- Go to Control Panel->click on Add or Remove programs or Uninstall or change a program.
- Then you see the list of all programs which are installed in your PC. Uninstall all the programs which are not in use or unnecessary.
4. Manage Startup applications:
- Type WIN KEY+R->type MSCONFIG.
- Then a system configuration utility box will open in which click on startup then uncheck all those applications which are not necessary to run when computer starts.
5. Check for viruses:

Install an antivirus program which can easily
runs in your computer and then scan your PC.

Keep your PC and antivirus program up to date.
(I Personally Recommend you to use Microsoft Security Essential For Windows 7 or older versions and Enable Windows Defender on Windows 8 and Higher operating systems.)
6. Manage Page File Storage:
If all the Above mentioned Processes Fails to speed up Your computer then Try Using this.
- Right Click on My Computer --> Properties --> Advanced System Settings(You can find it on left panel) --> Settings (Under Performance Block)
- Click on Advanced tab and then click on Change button under virtual memory.
- Untick Automatically Manage Paging File Size For all Drives.
- Click On Custom Size and set Initial Size at your current RAM memory size and Maximum Size at Double of Your Current RAM Memory size. For example: If you Have 2GB RAM then Set Initial size as 2048MB and Maximum Size as 4096MB. Click on Set, Apply and click on OK and restart your computer to apply changes.
